A complicated condition!

Wow. I was so surprised when I got into this book. I really expected to find out how to rest better and which vitamins to take, but I got something completely different. This book gives details of the many conditions that can cause fatigue and what you can do in each situation to remedy fatigue.
The information about actions to take was invaluable. I found that there are more than one thing that is causing my fatigue. By changing a few things I'm already feeling more rested and energized.
I highly recommend this book for anyone who doesn't know exactly what to do about the fatigue they live with.

A Genuinely Useful Book on Dealing with Tiredness

Fatigue has become more and more of a problem for me over the last couple of years, so I'm always interested in anything that can both explain the causes (without overcomplicating things) and give a few solutions.This easy-to-read book does exactly that.
This book strikes a nice balance between finding out why you might be tired and what to do about it. After all, finding the problem is only half the story.
The first part was a good general overview of the main causes of fatigue, from anaemia to Fibromyalgia. Fortunately (at least for me!) the explanations are aimed at the layman and don't try to blind you with science or scientific jargon.
After this, the author goes through most of the big problems associated with fatigue. This was quite an eye-opener. Although I knew that I was having a few problems feeling tired, I didn't realise quite how many issues I had until I read through them here!
But to be honest, the real key for me was the advice on dealing with these things. Fortunately, there was a lot of good stuff that I found easy to apply immediately, whether it was in terms of diet or dealing with work-related stress. Some of this has already borne fruit and I'm fairly confident that it will be straightforward to make some long-term changes using this book too.
Overall then, another really useful book from James Driver. It is easy to read in one sitting, but gives a good range of concrete advice to really make a difference. Five stars from me.

Common sense ideas to help you Not feel tired

Nicely laid out and easy to read. I hate books that go on for 100 pages to get to the point, but not this one. Some books I like to read front to back, others I skip around. This one was a skip-around book. I know what I don't have so read the sections on feeling tired that I might have. He has those nicely laid out with a breif summary at the end of each chapter (helpful). Many common reasons for fatigue can be found along with his recommendations to help you with each.
If you're tired, fatigued, either occassionaly or chronically I do recommend this book first before spending a lot on doctors and/or medications. It may even give you some intelligent questions to ask your doctor when you do go.
