1) Color photos, and lots of them
2) Intact embryos as well as extensive serial sections
3) Good labeling
4) Useful diagrams (also color)
5) Extensive descriptions of developmental processes
6) Descriptions of some visualization techniques to observe particular structures/systems
BUT. . .
There are some important omissions.
1) No zebrafish
2) No Drosophila

I needed this book for one of my senior university classes and was astonished by the condition the book arrived. The book was as if it had just left the printing machine, the pages were flawless and had everything as described in the description. This is a must buy book if attending university or college!!
